I migrated to babylon 8 today.
And then tried to untangle the weird loading order of the audio engine.
It was a lot of work, cursor didn't have enough context window so I had to do it by hand.
After an hour of old-school code wrangling across a million places, I got the world running again. With a big todo list of things to finish:
- Turn back on tile loading
- Fix collision mesh loading
- Write new island mesher
- Port over ocean code
It was somewhat demoralizing to work so hard and still have it broken - so I wisely went on a nice walk through the world.
And stumbled across this pretty little parcel in the bleak greyness that lifted my spirits. ❤️🌎
